After the public announcement of the libLZMA Backdorr (CVE-2024-3094) vulnerability, we conducted an deep analysis of the BatchXpert control system and the underlying VisXpert Scada System. Since neither BatchXpert nor VisXpert utilize any affected components, both software components are NOT affected by the vulnerability.

The BatchXpert process control system is now fully compatible with the new generation of Simatic S7 controllers, the 1500 series. BatchXpert is now also compatible with the Siemens S7-1200 line of Plc’s. The addition of the 1200 series plc’s allows our customers to use BatchXpert also for smaller applications, where bigger 1500 series plc’s are not cost effective.
